Need to install new functionlaity - LOG_EAM_SIMP for performing mass changes on equipment and functional locations.

can you please provide the installation guidelines and impact analysis on how this new functionality will effect the existing data and existing functionality .

Hi,

As stated earlier, you can activate the business function LOG_EAM_SIMP via transaction SFW5. You will also need to activate the dependant business function LOG_EAM_CI_1.

The option to perform a mass change of equipments/functional locations will then be available in transactions IE05/IL05. There is not any affect on existing data or functionality.

Check SAP Help for more information on both these business functions.

Hi - you go to SFW5 transaction and activate LOG_EAM_SIMP

Key functionality for mass changes is in IW38:

You will need to check the authorizations on this

Impacts depend on level of customizing in your system
