DI? Do you mean the Data Integrator? What exactly is your use case? DI is an ETL tool, focused on loading data from several data sources into a single datawarehouse. CR is a reporting tool.

This should be possible in a newer version of DeskI (eg. in XI 3.1). YOu can add hyperlinks into your DeskI reports that use openDocument URLs to allow the user to navigate to CR reports residing on a BOBJ server.

I really do not have a clue if this is possible in 6.5 though. Sorry.

If you are familiar with SAP BI/BW then I will recommend to start here:

https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/ForSAPBIConsultantslookingtostartwithBO

DeskI cannot be used to create report on SAP BW data sources. You have to use either Crystal Reports or Web Intelligence for this.

I would recommend to go through the official documentation first.

You can find it here http://help.sap.com. Once there navigate to Sap Business Objects->All products .
