Change the Profit Center

Dear,

Could you please help me with the issue below ?

I have one Material with the Profit Center field in blank. I need to remove the Cycle count, but when I tried to do any changes on the Material, is necessary to update the Profit Center. I scrapped the stock and I don't have stock for this material (MMBE), but I have the Error Message :

"You want to change the profit center but there are still material stocks"

you probably have stock in the previous period.

Execute MM03 and display the plant stock view. there you should see the stock in previous period.

Because you have already issued all stock from current period, you must receive as much stock into the current period as you need to issue from the previous period.

Make sure you can post in previous period (setting made with MMRV for MM posting, but it must be allowed in finance period too- for this check OB52)

Then you issue this stock again with a date of last month.

Now previous period stock and current period stock will be zero and you can change the profit center.
