Dear Sohan,

The Base line and final configuration comes in ASAP Methodology

In Realization Phase as Activities

Baseline Configuration : the purpose of this workpackage is to configure and confirm the settings from the Baseline for the scenarios, processes and functions.during the blueprint phase the identity baseline Scope task divides all the relevent business and process requirements into two blocks. the baseline block comprises all the enterprises priority requirements, ensuring that all of them can be implemented quickly. this workpackage Contains

a)Develop plans for baseline configuration

b)Configure global settings and organization structure

c)configure and validate baseline

a)Develop plans for final scope configuration

b)conduct configuration workshops(cycle 1-n)

c)configure and validate final scope(cycle 1-n)

d)perform final confirmation

*Client Depend Settings😘 Client depend settings are objects that are only used in a specific client ther are

a)Client specfic tables

b)Customer master records

c)User master records

d)Authorisation profiles

e)Customer specific programs are all clients dependant data

You cannot access data in other clients .each clients data is protected from unauthorized access. reporting cannot be performed across all clients. data between clients cannot be exchanged

Client independent settings: Client independent elements are objects that are used ain all clients

a) System programs and data dictionary repository objects are all client independent

b)Access sequence

c)Data structures, field definition, table definitions, table structure, file setups, client independent tables are all client independent settings

1.what is baseline and final configuration in sap ? -Answer self explanatory as the meaning

2.what is client dependent and client independent data in sap .can u give example of both ? Answer:. Client dependent is customizing configuration like order types, item categories, schedule lines, pricing conditions, pricing procedure....etc. if you have 3 clients in development like ERD 100 , ERD 200, ERD 300...then you need to do the above configuration in all clients. Or you can create in one client where transport request is create and move to other clients using SCC1. Client independent is workbench configruation like ABAP programs, standard tables, pricing tables, pricing acc sequences...etc. If you do the configruation in one development clieint, then the same will reflect in all development clients automatically.
