solution for this business scenario

Hi All,

I have one business acenario wherein I have a material A say having quantity of 100. now in some process it gets converted to B whose qty is 80 and C which is actually a waste wid qty 20.Also the entire cost of A should be loaded on B and not C as C is waste.how can i map the transfer posting in SAP?

what solution i thought was will do 309 of 100 qty from mat A to mat B so that entire cost is loaded on B.both A and B will be valuated materials.

Then again 309 from B to C keeping C as non valuated material.but will this work? Please let me know if you have the solution for this.

Thanks

Garima

Hi,

My business scenario is like this.. i hv crude salt wid me.. this is mat A..

i wash this salt and get purified salt as mat B.. in this washing some part gets dissolved which is actually wasted.

so if i hv 100 qty of mat A it gets converted to 80 qty of mat B.. but the entire cost of A gets loaded on mat B as 20% is dissolved rather wasted.. so thr is no concept of subcontractin involved.. plz suggest

Hello Garima,

As i told you before, your PP Consultant will better provide you this answer. because in MM Module dnt have this kind of facility what you are talking about. For this you haveto involve the PP Module for dividing the cost of material.

Hi,

you can do this by using the production module. we are doing the same process . For this you need to create the BOM accordingly that how much value you want to load on material B and C. Discuss this with production person.

Hi,

This is not subcontracting process.. its just that after processing i get 2 o/p as b 80 and C 20 whr in c is waste.. so subcontracting wont work here..

Is your "Some process" a sub-contracting process ??

Then by normal sub-contracting process, by maintaining B.O.M or components, you can implement this process.

Maintain the material input qty - 100, scrap = 20 (-ve) in component. Then as per normal sub-con cycle, proceed.
