costing relevancy or block

I have one finished product, including semi-finished product which included raw material. semifinished product has four alternative BOMs

when we run CK11N for finished product, system pick up BOM 1 for semi-finished product. but we want to cost based on alter.BOM 2, we don't want to delete BOM1, so can we block BOM1,how to do it? or can we set BOM1 not relvant to costing, I try CS02, but no such functionality, can this be done or do we need other configuration? Thanks

Hi hennylin,

There is no need to do that, you just go to costing data 1 in material master of that semifinished product and enter production version 2, by doing this whenever this material is selected for costing, system will use prod. version 2 for same.

in ck11n, quantity structure, product version field is blank, but we can see alter BOM version, so I think it is not using product version, we use BOM and BOM alter version to determine cost. so how to solve, thanks

Hi,

Even in this case in Material master Costing Data 1 tab of Semifinished product i/o Prod. Version specify alternative BOM for costing purposes.
