BPC Duplicate Member

Hi

I have a problem processing a dimension (RptCurrency). It contains the following members:

ZAR South African Rand Y

ZAR

A second member was inserted into the dimension with a leading space. When I delete this member and process the dimension, I get the following errors:

Delete and Insert Member 'ZAR' in one transaction is NOT allowed!

Duplicated member ID 'ZAR' detected!

Error in Admin module

I have deleted all data from all applications. How do I get rid of the member with the space?

Hi,

Did you run clear package to delete data from application?

Try to delete the data from back end (BI). Logon via SAP logon pad and goto RSA1-->Infoprovider Select appliaction right click "Delete Data". System would prompt for confirmation click Yes and click No from next popup to keep dimension data.

Once the data deleted successfully try to delete member from dimension.

Hi

I have deleted the data from the BI backend, as well as deleted the records in the BI infoobject, bit still get the same errors. Where are the dimension members stored other than the SAP infoobject? Can I delete them from the BPC source tables maybe?

Hi,

Dimension data will be stored in infoobject only.

Can you try to optimize the application.

Hi,

Dimension data will be stored in INFO-Object, you try to do the Full - Optimzation, then close

entire BPC and reopen, it will not appear. We had similary problem earlier.

Hi,

I think, initially you have cleard the data pertaining to that particular member, you have to all

the application where ever you are using that member. Then you have delete from the

dimension and process the same. After that you Full optimize the applications, then close

entire BPC and re-open it.
