Hi Frnds,

I am trying to figure out the root cause for this error, i am unable to, did anyone experienced this error ??

Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:oracle:thin:@xx.xx.xx.xx:1547:xxxxxxxx' using the JDBC driver 'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Can not establish connection:: SQLException: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection'

identified there is some problem with network/firewall issue

problem seems to be in the above.....can you ping the end-server from XI (the above IP and port)?

Thanks, i have just marked XXXX due to sensitive info, but in my cc i entered IP and Data basename details.

How can i ping this server from PI box??

Hi Abhi,

When i ping the server ip it is saying could not open a connection to host , but oracle team i am to acces this server.

assuming that issue is not yet resolved......this means that the connection from XI is not established.....job of network/ BASIS team

but oracle team i am to acces this server.

it cant be assumed that even XI has an access.

Hi Abhi,

I am able to connect data base using TOAD,but not from PI , even i tried to find the root cause and failed,now i have requested my basis/network team to look at this issue.

it is really strange,we have deployed drivers properly,the conection details also correct, i tried with all combinations but no luck.
