Create and Administrate a survey

Hi Expert:

I am very new in this and I need to create a iview that may contain a survey and then see all the submited surveys in a tool. Do u know how can I do that? I have to create a form and link it with a spreedsheet? or there is a tool in Portal to do that?

HI tzitzi,

1) Create a KM Quick Poll Administration iview and open it and edit "location(path) of Quick polls" propertiy. place the path of folder where you want to save your polls (all).preview it

2) it contains options for creating new, start exixting ,stop and delete. By default it will show the exixting polls (if any present)

create a survey/poll by checking all the propeties. Assign it to admin or who want to create surveys.

3) create a KM Quick Poll iView and change its path as same given in the Quick poll administration and assign it to the end user .he will able to paticipate in this survey

I am trying to do a quick pool but I can only do a poll with predefined answers, and I need to do a Text pool when everybody can enter what they think or want, can I do that with this tool or I will need to create a XML/HTML Form? In which way can I administrate the respounses from a Form?

General POLL means we have to give predefined enteries(options) and people can vote for any one. i am not sure for whether we can gave a dynamic options.its a risk also

for this i think creating a forum/thread is a good way. every one can post there responses and you can check/monitor as a administrator.

Hi,

the portal KM offers 2 types of iViews

a) Quickpoll administration

b) Quickpoll for end-users

in a) you define a (simple) survey, activate it and get the overall result (50 users answered A, 30 B, 120 C). The analysis can be done in a table-like view or via a graphic.

b) is used by the end-user to access the poll and submit an answer. This depends on how the admin has configured the poll: multiple choice, single answer, text.
