Batch job control

Hello Experts,

I have scheduled a batch job with 2 steps

1. Create a transfer order

2. Print pick list

Is there any way if I can control this batch job say for e.g. start the second step only if the first step is successfull (i.e. if the transfer order was really created, if the transfer order creation failed then the second step should not be trigerred)

Is this achievable only through some requirement routine or can we control through standard setting?
