Hi CPI Folks
Request your expert suggestion on polling any file format from on Premise system to CPI, if can do so please share end to end scenario with connectivity details. If there is no any file adapter in CPI that's suits this requirement , how about using SFTP adapter?.
Also can we retrieve files from Zdata (AL11) path to CPI , if so please share the details .
There is no option to read files directly from windows explorer in SAP CPI as an alternative to file adapter use SFTP adapter to read files on a regular interval.

Hi,
can anybody please confirm, if a file can be pulled using a file adapter from CPI accessing the filesystem - In hybrid scenario - designed on Integration suite, transported to local PI runtime.
Thanks
Peter

Hello Sreenivas,
As mentioned by Vijay above, the default SFTP adapter listed in CPI is to connect cloud application SFTP servers example SuccessFactors SFTP server. In case if your middleware (CPI) has to read file from a on-premise SFTP server then you need to setup cloud connector and mention the Location ID that defined in the instance configuration.

Hi ,
There is no file adapter similar to PI /PO but we have the SFTP adapter now , we have the option to connect the On-premise system as well by using the cloud connector (Proxy).
In the cloud connector we have the Option TCP with that you can connect to SFTP. Also in the channel select the Proxy type Option as On-premise.
Thanks and Regards,
Vijay.
