Query for Tax

Hi Expert

My problem is that when we genrate marketing documnet we select a item then we apply the tax .

we want if we select 2 or more item then automatic same tax apply that was on first item .

Dear Mr Areeba Ali,

Another suggestion could be to use a store procedure in the transaction notification to retrieve the correct tax code. Then, using the cursor you could fill the tax code line by line according to the first value chosen in the first line.

Hi..

One of the way is to achieve it is through code,

Once the User Selects the Taxcode in the First Line Level,then store it in a variable

now when user tabs out of the second line item of the Matrix by selecting Item Code

use this variable for populating the tax code in the Tax Field...!!

Dear Areeba Ali,

I think you can use the idexes in Business One and create a query with a formatted search on the vat code field.

However, please be aware that it is not easy.

The only way to do is when the code on the first line is consistently repeated throughout the document.

Use a query similar to this one:

select $[$38.18.1] from INV1 WHERE linenum <> 0

You may try, Tax Code determination. If it suits you.

Under Administration - > Setup-> Finance->Tax->Tax code determination.
