Dear SAP Guru's
I have a scenario where in i have to use PM plans to accompolish the Preventive maintenance. I looked into all 3 types of PM Plans (Single cycle, Multi counter and strategy plans) but i m not able to get the plan fit as per the requirement.
The Requirement is "We have fleets object which need to have some preventive maintenances at certain Meter readings(Counters) as per the OEM recommendations in the Operating and Maintenance manuals. This is like few operations to be performed at 1000Kms, few operations to be performed when meter reading reaches 5000 Kms and a few at 10,000 Kms etc.... Now it has to be kept in mind that this preventive is only once for that meter reading and is not to be taken that at every 1000 Kms, 5000 Kms , 10000 Kms etc.....
How do i map this requirement in PM...I tried using Counter plans and strategy plans but this plans schedules and generates objects at every 1000 Kms, 5000 Kms, 10,000 Kms etc... as it takes as cyclic and schedules at every periodic reading of 1000, 5000, 10,000 Kms.
Please guide me in acheiving this requirement...
If you do not want to use a strategy, do not enter the cycle, enter only the cycle units and the offset (e.g. units = KM, offset = 10000) for the plan. This will cause the plan to fire once.

Brian

Well you can create a Maintenance Strategy with Packages such as 1000, 5000, 10000 Kms with ascending hierarchies and schedule it. It would generate orders whenever the fleet meter reading reaches any one of the package cycles. To avoid the creation of maintenance order after one time execution of the package operations, Either delete the assignment of 1000 kms package to all of the operations for which it was due once the 1000kms package order have been executed. After 2000kms package is executed, delete the assignment of 2000kms package to all of the operations so that next it does not get called. This way, the orders for each package would be created only once. If you want to automate this, then you could use a user exit at Order Save, IWO10009 to check that if the maintenance plan is relevant for you and the Call number is 2,3,4,6,7,8,9 i.e any call that relates to repetition of any package then do not let the system save the order.
Regards...

Hi,
Create the Maintenance Strategy with Maintenance Packages of 1000, 5000 & 10000 kms. Assign the hierarchy of 1,2 & 3 respectively. Assign the required operations for the maintenance packages in the task list.
That will satisfy your requirement.
