TN Stored Procedure

Hello:

For using the TN Stored Procedure for preventing duplicates of Item Master data's Description, how can the end user call the function to be executed?

Thanks!

John

Hello John - it is automatically executed via the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. In Management Studio, you must use Object Explorer > Databases > Programmability > Stored Procedures for each SAP B1 Company you are going to be using with the TN - do not forget your Test Company when saving the TN to the Stored Procedures area. Also make sure you keep a copy of the TN on your PC...

I hope you bought Gordon Du's book - you can see what you need to do in pages 257 to 266.

    Hi Zal:

How can this be done in a HANA environment?

    • Hello John - pretty much the same in HANA, except it is in the SAP HANA Studio. Watch this video to find out where the TN Stored Procedure goes - the audio is horrible, but it does show step by step.

If you do not have a technical background, you might want to contact someone who has this kind of experience. I always write the Stored Procedure and pass it on to someone else to add it to the Companies.

    Hi Zal:

I have one more question. Is it possible to call the function from the user interface of B1?
