BAPI to change Usage Decision, as in QA12

Hi All,

We have a requirement, as per which we are going to change the UD code even after the UD has been done for that Inspection Lot.

We are using BAPI_INSPLOT_SETUSAGEDECISION for doing Usage Decision of Inspection Lot for the first time.

But how to do it for the same Inspection lot for the second time?

When we tried using the same BAPI, we are getting error, "Access not allowed for the Inspection Lot %".

You should give us some details about that requirement. Why would you need to change the UD code afterwards? There are good reasons the system is preventing you from doing that (yes, this can lead to very ugly things including some difficult talks with auditors).

There is transaction QA12 that allows for updating a usage decision, so there seem to be good reasons for such updates. Is there a way to do this with a BAPI?
