Shipment Completion set when GI of outbound delivery not posted

Hi Gurus,

I have a problem concerning some Shipment Document.

My customizing is to post Goods Issue for Outbound Deliveries when Shipment Completion button is set.

Mainly it's working fine but from time to time, Shipment Completion status is set and some of the Outbound Deliveries do not have the GI posted and did not gave back any error message.

My question is: Why the shipment has the status "Shipment Completion" when all the Outbound Deliveries do not have the GI posted ?

Hi Remi,

Some questions:

1) Can you post the GI for those deliveries manually (= can GI be posted for the deliveries)?

2) Are you using the ssame shipment type when GI is not posted (as for shipments when gI is posted successfully)?

3) Don't you use any user exit which blocks the posting for certain deliveries (e.g. based on delivery types ?)

4) Is the GI psoted and GI status is not proper or GI is not posted at all?

Hi Csaba,

I can post GI from the delivery directly and if I press Shipment Completion another time in the shipment document, it posts GI of the deliveries without any error.

I'm always using the same shipment type. But for some reason, from time to time, only part of the deliveries assigned to the shipment document are posted. For the rest of the deliveries, GI is not posted (stays in GI status "A"), and shipment document status is put to "shipment completion".

We are not using any user-exit to block GI and deliveries always have the same delivery type.

I will check if someone else is using a user-exit but I don't think so.

Hi Remi,

I think you can use this USER EXIT V56FSTAT for your problem. I read your issue statement regarding the shipment is setting the status as shipment completion even if PGI has not happened to certain deliveries.

Standard SAP will just the status to shipment completion as it will not check whether activity profile has got executed or not after you set the status. May be you can do one thing that u can go back to VT02N and uncheck the status of shipment completion and then try checking shipment completion.

Just try using the USER EXIT to solve your problem.
