Confirmation - Work Center - Routing

Hi all,

I try to understand routings. When i try to confirm an operation with BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT for a work center which is not defined in routings, it returns no problem. But it is not in routing. How can it be confirmed? Or what changes when define the workcenter and confirm with it?

Has it relation with standard times ?
