Crystal Enterprise is not exporting all Page Headers of report Generated

When I run a report in Crystal Reports, the report runs fine. When I come to export the report in an Excel 97-2000 (Data Only) format, some of the page headers on the report seem to disappear. I rectify this problem by clicking on Export Options and unticking 'simplify headers'. However, this option is not available in Crytal Enterprise when I publish this report. Infact I don't want the user to change any settings when they want to view a report. How would the end user see all the headers when running a report from Crystal Enterprise?

Sorry, I'm using CR 10 SP6 and Enterprise v10.

Your answer will be muchly appreciated.

Thank You

Jonah

You can schedule the report to output as Excel(data only), when you do that you have full control over page headers.

If you schedule as a Crystal Report I can see any way to give user any more controls over the presentation of Excel(data only).

Hi Ian, thanks for the reply. Unfortuantely I know about this. The issue is when the report is run on the fly. Not through scheduling.

Hi Guys, I moved this post to the BusinessObejcts Enterprise Forum.

What you are doing is known as OnDemand reporting and I don't believe that version had all of the export features due to pop-up's over the WEB.

Unless someone in this forum has any suggestions your only option is to "fix up " the report to optimize it for OnDemand reporting/exporting or only allow it to be scheduled.

Thank you

Hi Don, what would distinguish the page headers which have disappeared through the 'Simplify Page Headers' being unticked?

Bump - Any suggestion guys. I'm gonna get an ass whoopin if I don't solve this one.

Hi Guy's I managed to solve this issue. It was a case of hovering Headers. Make sure your headers touch the bottom of the pager header bar.

Cheers,

Jonah
