Derived fee (other flow/condition) not available for deferral

Hi,

I have created a derived flow in money market (classification: Structure characteristic, flow category 90), which correctly defaults to my deal. If I run TBB4 this flow is not available to be deferred as expected. If I enter the same flow via 'Other flows' then is is available for deferral and works correctly.

Can anyone please explain why a derived fee flow will not work in TBB4, but will work if entered separately as an 'other flow'?

Many thanks,

Chris

    Hi,

A derived flow type can be used for accrual/deferral purpose without even entering it in otherflows. If you assign a derived flow derivation procedure to a counterparty & product, it will only appear in the cash flow, and system will consider the derived flow for accrual if the necessary config set at Interest Accrual area for the specified product type.

Iif you are using ECC6 release the derived flow type should be marked with "Relevant for Accrual/Deferral" in definition, and complete the accrual flow type assignment in config.

Just wanted to follow up on the answer from SAP why the derived flow that we created did not result in an accrual in TBB4.

Our derived flow was from the principal borrowing flow and therefore has the calculation basis information not filled, which is necessary for TBB4. We will use another flow to create out accrual basis.
