DIfference between Off Cycle Regular Period on Demand and Normal Payroll

Hi All,

What is the difference between Off cycle payroll on demand and normal payroll.

Does Off cycle processes the salary as normal payroll process ..Is schema is same for both ..

    Regular Off Cycle Payroll on Demand uses the same payroll driver so schema also will be same for both.

    Hello Kamal,

    Offcycle On-Demand payroll is run only in case of Terminated employee or New Hired employee where you can run the regular payroll without releasing the control record. It is similar to regular payroll but run in advance for terminated employee so you can do full and final settlement, no need to wait till regular period date. When regular payroll is run this pernr is excluded who has run On-Demand payroll for that period.

    Schema is same for both the payroll.

    Hello Kamal,

    Since you have run the offcycle On Demand, you dont need to wait for Ragular payroll Posting. You can do it after you have run the offcycle itself by giving the offcycle details when running the posting program.

      Dear S.Karthik/ALL Guru's,

      I have one doubt please explain me on the same.

      Control Record for the payroll area is in April month Exit mode. Now in May 14, 2011, one employee got terminated. Now we need to process the full and final settlement for that employee on the same day.

      I have used the off-cycle ONDEMAND payroll run. I ran the payroll for that employee. Now Payment got prorated as per the factoring & i have saved the results in the cluster table.

      Off-cycle reason is Regular payroll on Demand

      Since off cycle category is blank

      My doubts are

      1. When i process the posting run what should be control record status?

      2. Can i process the posting run only for that employee?

      3. What parameter i need to give for the posting run?

      4. Do we need to exclude the employee for the May month payroll run since I have already processed the full and final settlement on 14 May 2011?
