PO Fax Output with Attachments from ArchLink

Hi,

is it possible to fax a PO to a vendor (fax server connected via SAPconnect) and ALSO fax the corresponding attachments?

We configured ArchiveLink to store attachments in a DMS. Is it possible to change the SAPconnect procedure in a way that it checks if there are attachments to the PO, gathers them from DMS and then also sends them to the vendor using fax medium?

If this is not possible, are there any alternatives to fax file attachments?

Kind regards!

Hi, thanks for your answer!

Sorry to say, but maybe you didn't read my whole text.

I did not wanr to know IF it's possible to fax a PO (I know it is.). My problem is that I'd like to include PO attachments from a DMS into fax output.

Any further ideas?

We currently transmit PO's and their archivelink attachments to vendors. The solution we have used since 2005 is based on sending a PO through BC-CON to Esker Deliveryware. Deliveryware calls SAP via RFC to retrieve url's of archivelink documents stored on Document Info Records on PO line items, downloads the attachments from the archive server, compiles the PO and attachments into a PO package (with package page numbers), transmits via fax or email to vendor, and archives the PO package as attachment to the PO. Let me know if you need more info.

Yes it is possible to send PO by FAX to vendor.

For sending PO by FAX we have to do the settings in transaction code NACE and also BASIS team has to do the settings for SCOT Transaction.

Read the OSS note : 9119 for FAX server details.
