Service Desk - select message processor by BP number

When creating a ZLFN service desk message in NOTIF_CREATE and entering the business partner number of the message processor directly, I'm getting error "business partner does not exist". If I select the same BP number via the F4 help of the field, there is no problem.

Does anyone know why?

Hi Nataliya,

The variant in the Partner determination procedure can be the cause, Can you please confirm whether the display variant is set properly.

Hello Jagan,

the display variant for the Service Desk Partner Header is set to "Partner number / Number type / Address". I tried using the other option "Address / Number type" but still nothing

Hi Natalia,

The Partner determination procedure should work for CRM_DNO_MONITOR( I thought this was the issue,Sorry). but for the transaction NOTIF_CREATE, I believe it should be different. Can you please give us the background of you entering manually instead of f4 help?.

Hi Jagan,

the background is this one: with the F4 help you get listed all of the BPs in the system. We want to use BPs in different scenarios (service desk, ChaRM, testing) and there are going to be many BPs. But the users who have to assign the message processor by theirselves, will usually know the BP number of the people they work with...

Agreed. Many BPs will be present. but the input varialbes for notif_create might be restricted for this type of usage. have no clue why its not taking into consideration. Its allowing selection from f4 only.(Partner determination procedures ->display attributes->control only the display of fields )

Have you tried transaction CRMD_ORDER?. This transaction has wider bandwidth for the specfic usage scenarios. Might be helpful for your case.

Do put the specific transaction types under icon settings->specific for easing the process.

we don't want to restrict the entry yet, but maybe we should do it. Unfortunately, I can't find (Partner determination procedures ->display attributes->control only the display of fields ).

But typing in the BP number in the field should also work, I've tried it 2 years ago at another system and there were no problems at all...

We're not using CRMD_ORDER because support messages are being created from test cases.

I also don't find "icon settings->specific", could you please show screenshots?

I mentioned this to convey that, this procedure just controls the view or the screen displayed :).

I also don't find "icon settings->specific", could you please show screenshots?

Its a small icon right most in the menu, below the text search for business transactions (instead try CtrlshiftF8).

Hi,

Have you made an entry in the "search term" field of the BP and also check if you have maintained it as an "Employee" under the Identification Tab in the BP t-code.
