Quality to Quality

Hi Experts,

My client requirement is that he is having two plants A and B, both geographically separated, and he is having Quality lab only in A plant, when the returns comes to the plant B from return order it comes to the Quality stock of plant B, but as the plant B is not having quality lab, we have a requirement to move that Quality stock to Plant A, how it is possible, please explain me in detail.

Yuo just try T Code QAC2

In QAC2 put your inspection lot number.--Enter

suppose lot created in plant B

Now in this transaction In tab stock transfer based on --you can put plant plant A where you want to post stock from quality to quality..

Try I think it can work for you.

Dear Devidas,

If you want the stock move to plant A from plant B. you need to do the below activities

1) If the material code is not maintained in A plant then you need to extend the material to plant A.

2) Activate stock transfer inspection 08 for that material in plant A.

3) ask your MM people to create a stock transfer STO. This is the legal process to transfer stock from outside plant B premises.

4) after Goods receipt in A plant system will generate inspection lot where result recording and UD will be taken by Lab and again through STO the stock will be transfered to plant B and at plant B salvage will be done.

One more question about this, but that stock comes in form of Return order to the plant B, so how should be the flow?

May i know in which stock type the return stock comes? returns, QI, Unrestricted.?

If your plant A is nearby then the samples can be taken to the plant A through returnable gate pass. Its an MM activity, kindly check wit the MM guys.

If the material is physically in plant B the inspection lot and quanitty should remain in plant B.

All you should have to do is provide security to the lab people in Plant A to work on inspection lots in Plant B.

If you have some type of inspections going on in Plant B that you don't want Plant A folks to have access to, you can set up security based on workcenters and assign these in the inspection plans to the operations.

Hi

Move the stock from Plant B to Plant A through the transaction QAC2.

After testing the stock at plant A, based on the rsults do the UD for the inspection lot which is available at Plant B.

Once UD was made , the stock will be in Unrestricted stock in Plant A. Do the 301 or 303 /305 movement to bring back the stock into Plant B.
