[BUG] Former Member or not Former Member?

Now I can see something strange! In my activity log:

If I open the question https://answers.sap.com/questions/742206/bpc-migration-101-planning-area.html

And if I open the user Stefania Maggi:

Very confusing!

Looks like there is some synchronization issue for the activity stream! After one day I can see a correct record in my activity stream:

We'll take a look.

I'm wondering if this is related to what I've observed: it seemed that the person actually changed their name to "Former Member". So maybe she also just changed the name (and changed it back later?) or maybe there is an actual issue with "Former Member" name assigned incorrectly sometimes.

Due to the fact that "Former Member" was not clickable it was not a member name change! I suppose it was temporary hiding profile resulting in formemberisation... but the issue was the syncronisation of activity stream and user profile!

OK, sorry but there is definitely a bug in the profile names. I've just clicked on my own profile and apparently my name is... Dashboard:

Uhm, can I speak to the manager? 🙂 craig.cmehil

We are all "Dashboard"! Ha-ha-ha!

Looks like that web developers for SAP Community are students... and bad students!

P.S. User name will be shown only in public profile 🙂 For personal profile pages - user name is not shown, only page name)

Hi, there are 2 profile views:

Public people.sap.com/ + username view other members see when they see your profile. In the public view, you will find your name in the header

Private people.sap.com/#dashboard: view where you can edit your profile and your settings. In the private view, you will find the title of the section in the header (i.e.,“Dashboard”). If you click any entries in the menu on the left, you'll see the title changes to indicate where you're at in the private view of the profile. It’s the title of the section. The purpose of showing the title is to emphasize that they are on the private profile

Hope this helps,

We are talking about interface inconsistency - in private mode user name is not shown on the profile pages... Page name is shown instead!

Public profile is OK.

claudia.pacheco - thanks for a reply but this doesn't actually help, sorry. It's simply wrong from the UI standpoint and comes across as rather disrespectful. This is the field where the users are expecting to see the person's name, no matter whose profile this is and no matter which mode we're in.

It already says "Dashboard" right below the picture, why on earth does it also have to replace my name?

“A person's name is to him or her the sweetest and most important sound in any language.” – Dale Carnegie. Please stop calling us all "Dashboard", we have names.
