CR2008 SP3 Dynamic prompts not refreshing

We are experiencing an issue with Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 and SP3 that utilize Dynamic prompts based on Business Views. When running the reports in CR 2008 directly, the values are not be retrieved and the user is presented with an empty text box.

This situation occurs in the following configuration:

Win XP SP3 client workstation with CR2008 SP1 or SP3, connected to a BOE 3.1SP3 server running on Windows Server 2008 R1, log in as the Administrator, either open an existing report or create a new report and add a dynamic parameter based on a Business View.

Notes:

The Business View dependancies all check out in Business View Manager.

A new report based on the Business View returns values just fine (no prompt).

The same report worked fine in XI R2 as did creating a new report.

There was no change in behaviour with the Windows Server 2008 built in firewall enabled or disabled; however, the prompt screen did render quicker with it disabled.

Interestingly, Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 and SP3 both seem to work just fine if you connect to a Windows Server 2003 server running BOE 3.1 with SP2 FP2.6. This was consistent across a number of client workstations.

Has anyone else experienced issues with dynamic parameters in Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 when connecting or working with a BOE 3.1 SP3 environment deployed specifically on Windows Server 2008 R1?
