Hi to all,

I need to convert a txt file in order to obtain a html file (or a pdf file) in which I can effectively use URL link (like www...) .

The file is in an application server folder (in which I previously created with OPEN DATASET and TRANSFER instructions ) .

Any ideas ?

What is the format of your txt file?

Because I just think of:


hello world
this is a big & great forum

HTML code could be:


hello world<br>
this is a big &amp; great forum

Seems to be quite easy to generate!

HI Sandra,

thanks for your reply. My problem is how to send e-mail using th FM (already used in the program ) 'SO_SEND_DOCUMENT_AP1' but adding an hyperlink into the message's body.

I think that, first of all, I should convert plain text (the body message is loaded into internal table as plain text and then pass to the FM ) into HTML format and then adding (in some other way ) the hyperlink.

But I'm a little bit confused ...I should pass txt and AFTER the FM will convert it into html (through some property parameters) or BEFORE using FM I have to convert in HTML itself ?
