Clarification about multi currency

Hi,

We have 3 legal entities and using multi currencies and also consolidation. Now my doubt is -

Do i need to create 3 differant controlling areas for 3 company codes which has differant currency? how can i go about multi currency requirement. please provide me if any pro and cons are there.
