Goods Receipt posting issue

Hi Guru,

I know it's an old question to rise but I forgot how to do it. Please help.

When doing goods receipt shows--posting only possible in periods 2006/12 and 2006/11 in company code 3000.

Hi

This message means the Posting Period is Open for 2006/12 and 2006/11 Only in company code 3000. So you need to open the Posting Period as per your requirement like 2010/02 and 2010/03. To do this use T-Code MMPV.

If you have never used this T-code then take the help of MM consultant. Search the forum for more details on MMPV Transaction.

Solution 1:

Either use the posting date in between 12/2006 & 11/2006 .

Solution 2:

Using Tcode MMPV - Close Period for Material Master,

Provide your current date.

Radio Button - Close Period only.

Reason for selecting this radio button - Setting this indicator reduces the runtime of the period closing program by approximately 50%.

So logically speaking you have to carryout this for each & every month from 2006 to till date.

Solution 3:

For this take assistance of FI Consultant

Step 1. OX18 - select the plants assigned to Company code - delete - save

Step 2. OMSY - Enter current financial month & save.(06-2010)

Step 3. OX18 - assign all plants to co code

Step 4. OMWD - enter valuation area 0001.

pls check mmpv( current posting period) and change the posting period in mmrv.

ask ur mm consultant to do so

Thanks. But when I use MMPV I got an error message as below:

As I already inform you the solution, you can take use of either solution.

From your posting period issue, it is quiet evident that you are not working on a production client and .

Anyways, if you are on production client, then take assistance of MM & FI consultant in your team.

Solution 1:

Post your material with posting date in between 12/2006 & 11/2006.

Solution 2:

Hi,

Goto Tcode: MMPV.

Against company code: 3000

input Period: 07

Fiscal year: 2010

Check radio button - check and close period.

and execute or F8.

This posting will open period 07, 2010 in the system.

As you mentioned current period is 122006 , kindly close all the previous periods .
