SAP DM ERROR OPENING WORD

Hi experts.

I´m using Office 2016.

When opening Excel files in DM it works fine, but with Word files the message: "object reference not set to an instance of an object.. " is shown and the chapter never opens in Word.

I have not find any note about this error in Word. Please any ideas?

I found the solution. Some registry keys were missing for Microsoft Office (OfficePath.dll). I create it as note 2548510 shows and it worked,

Hi Maria

The error normally indicates some reference to a non defined object

Often in Word, it is a data-linked object which uses a briefing book or data-source that does not exist (or your config20.xml does not have the data-source used)

Download the file, and select "objects" Make sure all the briefing books exists. If not, delete the links (you can delete the bookmarks in Word and then upload the file back to DM

Hi Maria

Check this note: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2115807

Also - can you try opening Word (so not from DM, but simply starting Word) and starting the DM add-in

If you already get the error here- i would suggest re-installing the DM client

Thanks

Hi Marc.

I download the chapter and open it directly from word and it opens fine. I read the sap note but there are not any hidden bookmarks.

I have reinstall the sap dm add-in st11 but still the same error happens when opening word chapters from DM.

Please provide the details including EPM version and report screenshots!

P.S. What do you mean by "DM"?

Vadim, the question is on SAP Disclosure Management add-in for Office, not EPM add-in, it's probably a slip.

I have already alerted moderator that the question has no relation to the tag EPM Add-In for Excel
