connect with rpt file from java desktop application

Hi guys... i'm developing a java desktop application... AND I NEED YOU HELP.

i've a .rpt file that has a link to an MS Access (.mdb) file, in need in my java application to make a connection with this rpt file and apply some filters to data (like a range of date)... after this i would print my filtered record.

HOW CAN I DO??
