Expand Tree in CKMLQS

Hi!

In transaction CKMLQS there is a button "EXAPAND SUBTREE" but it does not work correctly. It opens only the first level. If the material has more than one level, you must open manually clicking on each of the sublevels.

After manually opened the sublevels, the button "EXPAND TREE" goes to work but then it is too late because the work is already done.

Has anyone noticed this problem? It's a bug in SAP?

Hi,

I think there is a misunderstanding about the buttons 'Expand subtree'

and 'Collapse subtree'.

Via these buttons, the system is only able to expand those subtrees

which have already been created internally. Yet, for performance

reasons, the subtrees are created dynamically when the user is expanding

the respective level. Thus, these buttons only work for those subtrees

that have already been expanded by the user.

The same logic applies to the 'entire hierarchy' in the print view:

Entire hierarchy is the one that has already been expanded by the user.

Transaction CKMLQS has never been designed to be expanded automatically,

because normally there is a huge amount of data to be read with hundreds of levels.

If the problem is performance, why expand button works correctly in the transaction CK11N?

Are there anything to do? SAP does not fix it?

I not found any sap note for this problem.
