Hi Guru:

Now all of our process chain are assigned to component BPC: System.

I wonder whether there is a way to use another component, and we could select from the component when create a package?

Thanks.

Eric

Hi Eric,

If I understand your question correctly you would like to reorganize the Process Chains displayed from BW transaction RSPC so they will not be listed under BPC: System. I do not think you are able to change the organization of the SAP delivered process chains less you copy them to Z process chains under your own component groupings. I was wondering why might that be the need to reoganize the BPC: system area be important to you? If you want to submit this as an enhancement request to SAP Solution Managers, please submit your idea to http://ideas.sap.com and then locate the area for [BPC NW|https://ideas.sap.com/community/products_and_solutions/epm_bpc_netweaver]

You may be aware, but I'll mention anyhow that from the BPC front end you can add Data Manager Package Groups and move packages between the groups to arrange the packages any way you wish for your end users to see.

It will be helpful to put all the Z chain in another component.

However, it is not critical. I asked this, only because I saw a ppt from SAP for package, and in one slides, I see he choose the chain from another component, not the delivered. So I think there is already a way, maybe just for SAP internal use?

Try this:

1. go to transaction RSPC

2. Double-click the process chain you want to change location (put on change mode)

3. Go to menu Process chain/attributes/display components (or CTRL + F11)

4. A u201CAssign Display Groupingu201D screen appears.

5. Click the match code for component.

6. On the selection screen you can create a new component

Hope it helps.

Sue,

This will work only if you keep same namespace because in DM Packages drop down shows Process Chains from that namespace only.
