We have enabled the Deactivate the position field from Position management. When Manager is trying to terminate an employee which has no approval process, the position status is changing to Inactive. Whereas, if this transaction requires an approval then assume it goes HROps for an approval. Then HROps person is trying to approve the termination transaction where we have set the deactivate position value to yes. Even after he approved/saved the transaction, the position status is not changing it to Inactive. I think there is a gap in the deactivating process when there is an approval and no approval process.
Please help me how does this position inactive functionality work better even approvals are in place.
