Account group with Internal Number Range

Hello Gurus,

With Internal number range assignment to the Customer Account Group, I am unable to extend the customer from one sales area to another sales area with the same Customer number.

If I am not it is a standard feature that irrespective of the number range (internal or external), with the same customer number, customer can be extended to multiple sales area.

Please correct me if I am wrong and suggest a solution.

Hi ,

While extending the Customer to another sales area you have to specifiy the customer and the sales area in which the customer was existing using the transaction code XD01/VD01

Please specify the error you are getting while extending it

Hello friends,

No error message but the next number is getting allocated.

in VD01 or XD01

the following steps r followed.

1. Enter the Account Group

2. Sales Area (New Sales Area for the customer)

3. Reference Customer.

4. Reference Sales Area.

Rather than going to the sales area directly, General area screens are appearing.

Upon saving saving the details New customer number is getting allocated.

I have no clue where I have gone wrong...

looking forward for suggestions.

Use Tcode XD01

Provide following input in initial screen:

Account group

Customer no

Company code

Sales area (new)

Kindly don't put any input in reference.

hi there

When you go to tcode xd01

Put you customer no in the customer field, and in the sales area mention the sales are to which you want to extend the customer.

In the reference area

Put again the customer no you want to extend and the sales area in which it is already existing.

Yes you can extend the same. Can you please brief what error you are getting?

Hi,

You have to use transaction code XD01 to extend the existing customer to new company code as well as new sales area. While doing this you need to enter the customer number(to be extended) Company code and the sales area.

Hi

For extending any Customer to New Sales Area, the process is similar to Creation of New Customer MAster, so use T-Code XD01 or VD01. However you need to give the Customer Code in initial field, Customer.
