Purchasing statistical price condition and FIFO: std behavior

Hi guys,

I open this question after many searching in SAP forum and SAP support website....

Statement: I have in my Purch pricing schema for ex.statistical condition FRB2 with flag of statistical and EIN as Acc key and FR2 as Accruals..

My doubt/question: from std this price condition is involved in FIFO/LIFO calculation?

I ask this because I have read in this forum:

1) thread 'Purchasing freight account (DIFFERENT ACCOUNT)' of March 04, 2016 at 21:08 PM and it seems yes from std behavior

2)thread Product Costing-Overhead inclusion in Inventory standard cost without PPV of August 07, 2012 at 00:04 AM..not clear:it seems depends from to enter or not Acc key and accrual

3)Thread Configuration to Add Freight Cost to Purchase Orders July 20, 2015 at 14:11 PM in which it is said 'If you want freight amount to be captured & added to inventory, then just check your calculation schema in M/08 & check your freight condition type and see No account key & accrual key are assigned{Keep BLANK} thereIn t.code M/06, go to details & do not select accrual flag in control data 2 TAB & keep BLANK in condition category in control data 1 segment & save....Now do MIGO , you will freight cost added to inventory cost...

etc......

So I have not found a OSS Note or a clear indication if a purch statistical price condition (i.e. with flag 'statistical') from STD behavior is involevd in FIFO/LIFO calculation..Which is the std behavior?Controlling can parametrize it as its choise?..No absolutely when the flag statistical exists?Or even if with statistical flag if I take off account key and accrual the price condition will be considered from FIFO/LIFO...or..?

Thanks a lot for your attention

I presume, FIFO is First-In/First-Out in which case, I am unable to correlate in what way statistical condition type is related to FIFO. For information, it is a standard that for any statistical condition type, if you check the box "Accrual" and set an Accrual Key in Pricing Schema, then, the corresponding value will get posted in FI.

Dear Lakshmipathi and to all,

if interesting my final test session:

1) I take off the statistical flag from pricing schema and leave the flag 'Accruals' and the amount of freight condition has NOT impact on PO price

2)I take off both statistical flag than Accrual flag and the amount of freight condition NOW has impact on PO price

3)I take off the accrual flag and I leave only the statistical flag and the amount of freight condition has NOT impact on PO price

4)I take off statistical flag and leave the accrual flag and the amount of freight condition has NOT impact on PO price

Conclusion: the statistical flag/check box has a 'statistical behavior' if the flag accrual is not present (care test 2 and 3) but the difference is that the 'Accrual flag' gives to the system a statistical behavior and impact on FI/CO while the 'statistical flag/check bo'x gives to the system always a statistical behavior without impact on FI/CO that is for only informative purpose without any other real consequence on the system behavior...

Thanks to all for attention and appreciate further advice/opinion

Dear Lakshmipathi,

first of all thanks a lot: I have also read your post 'Statistical Condition Type but value to post in FI' of some years ago in which the content is:'A particular condition type should not add to net value in sale order / billing but should post to FI. I have come across people who immediately say it is not possible even with user exit. But, IT IS POSSIBLE via standard configuration itself.

Solution

Go to V/06, select that condition type and execute. There, select the below tab and check the box for “Accruals”...In your Pricing Procedure, don’t check the box for “Statistical” against this condition type BUT, have different Account Keys assigned etc.....

Here I am talking about MM pricing schema but it is the same...

Only a doubt please:

- I take off the statistical flag from pricing schema and leave the flag 'Accruals' and the amount of freight condition has NOT impact on PO price

-I take off both statistical flag than Accrual flag and the amount of freight condition NOW has impact on PO price

-I take off the accrual flag and I leave only the statistical flag and the amount of freight condition has NOT impact on PO price

Conclusion: the flag Accrual has impact on PO price becoming the condition 'statistical' or not statistical such as described from SAP std behavior..

The doubt: then which is the the utility of statistical flag in the pricing schema? The impact is only from FI/CO side....?

Thanks again
