Hi Experts,

Below error is what iam getting. Actually in Public Section, Methods are defined and from those there is a dump saying "Type 'IBST_A_BUF_TAB' is unknown" from one of the methods 'CHANGE'. I did version comparison with all systems but no difference exist . So what can I do in this case?

Regards,

Rahul.

You say that the same error exists in a non-upgraded system. Yet you also say this issue only came up after the upgrade of one system. If the same error exists in the non-upgraded system, then presumably it exists in your upgraded system before the upgrade.

You didn't answer my question about where the class comes from. For example, if an application is developed in ERP and great care isn't taken, if you try to import that class into a BW system, you'll get many errors concerning missing objects.

In any case, the resolution is the same:

  1. If the class is from an external supplier ask for a resolution from that supplier
  2. If the class is standard SAP, raise a support note
  3. If the class is a custom development, then figure out the nature of the type IBST_A_BUF_TAB and create your own replacement.

Hello,

Did you check that this type exists in the system (double click on it) ? Its name seems to indicate that it is a standard table type. Does a note or a support package has been recently applied in your system ?

Where does the class come from? Did it ever work?

Hi Matthew,

I guess so as it was activated. After upgrade, Panaya showed this as one of the correction.

Hi,

Maybe, this type has been deleted "unintentionally" from the system ? You may check its existence with transaction SE03 > Change Object Directory Entries > R3TR TTYP or in table TADIR.
