Problem regarding MRP run, no planned orders generated for BOM components

Hi SAP Guru's

Recently, i've tried to run an MRP using md02, with a material bom with 2 components. After i've run MRP, components do not display in the material list after the run, and only the header material displays.

here is the current hierarchy of the material bom

material bom - A (HALB)

components - B (ROH)

C (HALB)

then i've checked that component C has also a bom, here is the list

material bom - C (HALB)

components - A (HALB)

i've checked every possible solution that was suggested in this forum but it seems that it still not generate the planned orders for the components.

can i know how to check if BADI is activated in MD02?

my findings are in green,

1.MRP type should not be ND -MRP1 view - status is PD for all material

2.Material should have Procurement Type -F or X at least -MRP1 view - header material is E while components are F

3.Check wether MRP Depenet Req filed should be Balnk not 1 in MRP4 view in MM02 of those BOM componenent only 1 was blank and it is material B

4.Check Planning File Entry for all those items in MDRE/MDAB/MD21/MD20 - all Planning file entry are created

5.Check wether u have set Delition Falg or Lock thsoe material or set 01-Bolcked for procumeremet in Basic Data -X plant status . removed deletion flag for all materials

What are the set up are u using in MRP run in MD02 .It should be NETCH , 1,1,3,3,2 basically. i've used netch, 3, 3, 1, 2, 2

What is the set up you have provided in the MRP4 view -Selction of BOM/Routing ? .

1.It should be Blank or 1 if you do not maintain PV in your case .I mean it can be

1. Blank -Selection by order Qty 2. Selection by explosion date -it depends on the set up in OPPQ-BOM Explosion -Date/Number. material A anc C do have PV, it was set to selection method 3 (selection only by prod version

2.Goto -CS02-with your BOM number -Header -Ststus Long txt -Check wether you have kept BOM Status-1-Active - it is in BOM STATUS 1 - Active

3.Check in CS02-the Validity of the BOM and Usage -1 Or 3 in this case - validity date for the header is 03/18/2009, BOM Usage is 1

It looks like C/A are recursive ? will there any problem if the BOM is a recursive one?

Check them and get back to us .Hope this will help u to trace the reason

Dear ,

Check the validity of the PV vesrion in MM02-Production Version -Details -Validity

Check the Lot size of PV /Lock or not /Deletion Flag .

Based on your reply , BOM explosion will be the issues which is not comming within the validdity of PV while MRP run as it does BOM explosion based on the MRP4 set up -selction method .

All the MRP Dependent compoent field should be blank ( A-B/C as well as C/A)

Else , any BAPI /Enhancement activated which prevents creation of planned order while MRP run

Hi,

Just check if any BADI activated in MD02.This may be preventing generation of planned orders for BOM components.
