1) In which scenario this can happen?

Where the Step is assigned to other than the Owner of Workflow. As owner has rights to govern overall process of Workflow. So owner can take the control from the other user by assuming functionality of the Workflow.

2) How to avoid this?

Partially achievable on the basis of acenario demand. Workflow Owner should be the Admin user and the password should not be disclosed to everyone. Still the person having password of Admin user can override the step at any point of time.

3) What is the solution here to keep this workflow continue?

Ask the Owner of workflow to send workflow to next step.

Hi Priya

The owner override status indicates that a workflow step (usually a Process step) was assigned to a user but was Assumed by the workflow owner. This behaviour allows the owner of the workflow to take control of any step in a workflow.

You cannot change this behaviour or turn it off. What you can do is create a dedicated "workflow owner" login and assign it as the workflow ower in the workflows table. The password for this login should only be know by users who are trusted to take control of a workflow / step.

The workflow did continue, but a particular step was taken control of and executed by the workflow owner.
