Does Crystal Reports work on 64-bit Windows XP?

I have a customer who is using one of our applications that relies on Crystal Reports. We have had much difficulty getting it set up, due an error that reads,

"Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=10.2.3600.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

In the past, the fix for this issue has always been installing Crystal Reports; because we need our software to compile as a 32-bit application for other reasons, we need the x86 version of Crystal Reports. The customer says that Crystal Reports looks like it's installing, then goes away; when she checks the Add/Remove Program entry, it says that it needs to be repaired, but it will not let her repair it. The above error still persists.

Recently, we have experienced other issues with 64-bit XP, so I decided to ask her if she was using 32- or 64-bit XP. She confirmed that she is, in fact, using 64-bit XP.
