Mass Journal Upload: Post journals beyond 999 lines without tech. offset

We have a unique requirement to process one single journal document that is about 5000 lines in one FI journal for payroll purposes. From our general understanding is that SAP has limitations to process journal line up to 999 lines in one financial document by creating an offsetting entry to technical account due to SAP technical limitations.

However, for sake of the benefit our client to bring ease with reconciliation process we would like to know if anyone else has dealt with this issue where you could process a single journal that contains more than 999 lines in one given financial document.

I should be surprised, because BSEG-BUZEI is of length 3. But I never quit learning.

Maybe its possible in the new G/L? This would be a question for ERP Financials forums.

This is pretty well a FAQ by now.

999 is a hard limit.
