APO forecast and Safety stock

Hi experts,

I have a problem.

I run my forecast in APO DP but I still want to calculate my Safety stock in R/3.

How do I do this as all the documentation specifies that I must have a forecast in R/3 to perform a dynamic safety stock calculation.

Is this possible?

Hi Robert,

You can import forecast figures from an external system to SAP R/3 .

Importing External Forecasts

To import forecast values from another external system into the material master, use program RMPR1001.

Please note that this program does not take account of MRP areas.

You can publish a file from APO DP > APO BW > Infospokes > Put the file on an application server of SAP R/3.

If you import an externally created forecast, you must enter 'N' (No forecast/external model) as the forecast model on the forecasting screen of the material master record.

By this way you have forecasts in SAP R/3 updated in material master.

Please check and confirm.

Hello Robert,

The option around infospokes is a good option. However, infospokes have been retired by SAP. I would suggest the use of Open Hub Destinations instead. You can access both using RSBO.

Also how about the option of releasing the forecast to ECC? You can create abackground job and a transfer profile and release rthe data to ECC from DP.

You also have the option of directly releasing the data from an infoprovider to another OLTP system.
