How to Pull PCA data from R/3 to BI

Hi All ,

We are using 4.6C R/3 System , For the first time we are pulling Profit Center Accounting data to BI.

Could you please tell me what is the process to extract the data ...

Dos and Dont's...

What are the datasources involved??(0EC_PCA_1, 0EC_PCA_2, 0EC_PCA_3 & 0EC_PCA_4) , Explain what are the datasoruces we have to use & why?

You can get this info from sap help.Please use the below help link,in the left had pane expand the data source.You will get the info.

Hi....

0EC_PCA_1 supports both delta and full and it will give you summarized data only....not Line Item data.......if u check you can see that the field DOCLN(Document line) is missing....It fetches records from GLPCT(EC-PCA: Totals Table)

Where as,0EC_PCA_3 will give u Line item records........field DOCLN(Document line) is available here......this datasource supports delta and fetches records from the table GLPCA(EC-PCA: Actual Line Items)

0EC_PCA_2 gives summarize data for only Staistical keyfigures, i.e. 0QUANT_AVRG(Average quantity) and 0QUANTITY

(Quantity).....other keyfigures like 0DEBIT,0CREDIT,0BALANCE are missing....It fetches records from GLPCT(EC-PCA: Totals Table)

0EC_PCA_4 supports full upload only and it gives u provides the balance by period....Data that is created by periodic transfer balance sheet accounts is not transferrred by DataSource 0EC_PCA_3. This data can be transferred using DataSource 0EC_PCA_4 ......this datasource supports delta and fetches records from the table GLPCA(EC-PCA: Actual Line Items)
