I have a job running on the hour to load data from a live system to our Microsoft SQL 2016 warehouse for reporting. The strange problem I'm having is that it runs successfully one hour and when it runs again an hour later it fails. The following error appears in the log: -
ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <DW-SERVER> failed: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Login timeout expired>.
Notify Customer Support.
We are using BODS v 14.2.8.
The database in the warehouse is in a high availability group replicated between two nodes and this problem doesn't occur when I address an individual node, only when the cluster name is used.
Does anyone have any experience of such problems? When successful the job only takes 1 minute to run.
