Modification of User Field 4 USR03 for Investment Program

Hi All,

We have configured user field 4 in the Investment Program. We need a drop down functionality. The drop down values to be validated from another custom table which will be called up during maintenance of this transaction. We know SAP already gives an option to configure the allowable values for this field as standard feature. But here we want to bypass this.

After exploring with our technical team it seems impossible to achieve the above requirement. It is also not possible to use the other fields User fields 1 to 3 as it seems cannot be achieved through ABAP because of technical challenges for this field domains.

If anybody in the past has used this to implement in their project can you please share with me. or is it better to raise this with SAP.

In PS there are enhancements available for creating Customer Defined Fields. CNEX0007 is for WBS, CNEX0006 is for Project Definitions. There is also an enhancement available for checking User Defined Fields in PS, CNEX0001.

These are applicable to PS. Check with your technical team and see if they can be adapted or copied for IM.
