Setting agent for a background task in workflow

Hi,

I want to execute a workflow from SAP Portal by triggering an event through an RFC. Since there will be no direct user interaction in backend SAP, the activity has been defined as a background task in workflow. In the workflow log, the task shows up as executed by WF-BATCH.

But we need the log to show the Portal logged in user as the agent instead of WF-BATCH. Is that possible?ds

Any pointers are appreciated.

Regards

Deepthi

Hi Deepthi,

I guess unfortunately the answeris no. This question has been asked several times, if you search the forum you might find alternative ways to get this done. Check this [link|] for example.

The userid of the Portal User will be caught in the Workflow Initiator container element.

Please check. By default all background step is done by WF-BATCH which cannot be changed.

Thanks
