SAP PS Assembly Processing without Requirement Class

Hi Experts,

Three ways to create project automatically for Assembly processing:

1. Strategy Group

2. Item Category

3. Requirement Class

I am aware that we need to set up a material master that supports assembly processing. i.e. sales views (item category group) , strategy group ,Item Category ,standard templates and linking materials using CN08.

Can we able to execute the Assemble Process to create an Operative project in the background when Sales document is saved and check the material availability when scheduling is done based ONLY on " Strategy Group " config in SPRO --> IMG --> Production --> Demand Management --> Planning Strategy --> Define Strategy WITHOUT configuring Requirement Class and Item Category group?

Please advise.
