Hello all,
For example, I have office workers that works from mon-fri and off on sat and sun including PH.
In singapore certain PH have Public Holiday eve like Christmas have christmas eve.
This is the varaint rule that will be used:
HolClass HolClassNxyDay Weekday
b123456789 b123456789 1234567
(. . X. . . . . . .) (.X. . . . . . . . ) XXXXX..
For this rule it says today is a half day holiday, the next day is a full public holiday and it can be either mon, tue, wed, thur or fri.
This one we can use it for certain PH that have Public Holiday eve like Christmas have christmas eve.
This is the second varaint that will be used for holiday that do not have eve.
HolClass HolClassNxyDay Weekday
b123456789 b123456789 1234567
(X. . . . . . . . .) (. X . . . . . . . .) XXXXX..
For this rule, it says today is a full workind day, tmr is a full PH and it can be either mon, tue, wed, thur or fri.
This one we can use it for certain PH that have Public Holiday and it does niot have public leave attach to it like Good Friday.
Here is my DWS:
Mon-Norm
Tue-Norm
Wed-Norm
Thur-Norm
Fri-Norm
Sat-Off
Sun-Off
Is it we have to create 3DWS and it is like
DWS1- Normal with no varinat rule
DWS2-is used for DWS like today only have to work half day cause it is eve
DWS3- is used for DWS that have only one Ph hoilday
My question is: How do I like in this week there is good friday which mean use DWS3 and next week is christmas and have eve, hence I will use DWS2, for those week that have nothing means no PH eve and PH holiday declared used DWS1. Is it we have to manualy maintain it every month?
Thanks;)
Hi,
You can address your requirement by using different PH classes.
For example, you can use class 1 for PH wihtout eve, and class 2 for PH with eve.
Then set variant rules respectively, system by PH class will recognize eve and non-eve holidays.
Cheers

Hello, means like for example in my office work schedule is
Mon Tue Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun
NORM NORM NORM NORM NORM OFF OFF
Example 25/12/2009 christmas is a public holiday
24/12/2009 christmas is a public holiday eve, hence we apply this variant rule:
HolClass HolClassNxyDay Weekday
b123456789 b123456789 1234567
(. . X. . . . . . .) (.X. . . . . . . . ) XXXXX..
For this rule it says today is a half day holiday, the next day is a full public holiday and it can be either mon, tue, wed, thur or fri.
This one we can use it for certain PH that have Public Holiday eve like Christmas have christmas eve.
Another one is 29/5/2009 is a Good Friday and it dont have eve. Which means on 28/5/2009 is a full working day, hence we apply this variant rule:
This is the second varaint that will be used for holiday that do not have eve.
HolClass HolClassNxyDay Weekday
b123456789 b123456789 1234567
(X. . . . . . . . .) (. X . . . . . . . .) XXXXX..
For this rule, it says today is a full working day, tmr is a full PH and it can be either mon, tue, wed, thur or fri.
This one we can use it for certain PH that have Public Holiday and it does niot have public leave attach to it like Good Friday.
In total I will generate 3 DWS schedule that are of the same whereby 2 of the DWS will have variant rule attach to it.
How do I like for example this week is good friday which means I used DWS with a variant that states "today is a full working day, tmr is a full PH and it can be either mon, tue, wed, thur or fri."
After a few months, is christmas whereby before christmas it will have christmas eve. Hence, now I will make use of another DWS with another variant rules applicable for this.
And the last DWS will be used for those weeks that do not have pH. Is it whenever there is special day like PH, i need to change the DWS for my staffs? Is this correct? Cause I am clueless over it.
Thanks;)
