Regarding order BOM

Hi all,

I have 2 queries.

1. Is it possible to CIF sales order BOM (cs61 - usage 1) ? As per my knowledge, only material BOMs are recognized during cifing.

2. I have created a sales order BOM with usage 5 (sales and distribution). The BOM is exploded in sales order. I changed the quantity of the component in sales order. I cifed the sales order and then carried out the planning run, no planned order is getting created for the component. Item category group for parent material is ERLA.

Planned order for the component is getting created only after I created BOM (cs01 - usage 5) and cifed it and carried out the planning run.

My query is why the system is not tranferring the requirements to the component with the BOM exploded in the sales order?

Hi,

in case if this is the business process what you use select the bom selection ID as 04 in OPPQ or if your main priority is selection ID 01 ,selection pr 1 and BOM usage 1 and that is exceptional case, then maintain Selection ID01, Selection pr 1 and BOM usage 04 along with the first one.

1. Sale order BOM is used incase of variance in BOM component or BOM component qty& the sale order BOM is only valid for the particular sale order , your 1st question is not clear pls explain

2. In the plant level MRP settings, select the BOM selection method accordingly then it will get explode
