email service

Dear Gurus,

I changed the IP address of the host OS (Solaris 10).

the system works fine but I cannot send emails and also get the error on (tx:sm21)

************

q0 - I - operating system call connect failed (error no. 150)

s0 - T - Niconnect unsuccessful, return: - 0010

> host:172.168.101.3

>service:sapgw01

************************

The host seen the error message from tx: sm21 is the old IP address

I have checked the table RFCDES, i do not see any details related to the old IP address

I have checked snote 403708 for OS dependencies everything looks fine.

I have checked the config for email in tx:SCOT, everything looks fine.

BR,

Tolu

    Hello-

Did you made changes to all of your profile parameters in the system?

    Also check in SICF.

    Thanks,

    George

    Hello,

You should try to clear the "host buffer" in SAP.

TX SM51 ==> Select servername ==> GoTo ==> Host Name Buffer ==> Reset ==> Entire System

TX SMICM ==> GoTo ==> HTTP Server Cache ==> Invalidate ==> Global System

Also check you host file? Did you also change the ip-address in the /etc/hosts file?

Are there any errors in the logging dev_icm?

    Regards,

    Marcel

    • message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connections error (final)

Thats a typical message when the Relay is not configured.

As mentioned before check that the IP address of your SAP system is populated on the Relay Agent of you SMTP server. As you have changed the IP is not a surprise that is not working.

Also, be useful if you post the SOST error log.

      regards

      Juan

Beside all said before, remember to tell your exchange team that you have changed the IP so they can maintain the Relay Agent.

    Regards

    Juan
