Dear all

I am facing problem with JSPM. Previously It was working and I was using it for kernel upgrade, during the process JSPM execution was killed. Now when I restart it I am facing the error as:

The execution ended in error.

Cannot initialize application data.

Could not extract value with key SAPSYSTEM from file //solman/sapmnt/SMN/SYS/profile/SMN_DVEBMGS00_solman. A possible reason could be that the path to the directory containing the sappfpar executable is not included in the PATH environment variable.

Could not start process sappfpar.

Error while executing process sappfpar.

java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: sappfpar pf=//solman/sapmnt/SMN/SYS/profile/SMN_DVEBMGS00_solman SAPSYSTEM error=14001

java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: sappfpar pf=//solman/sapmnt/SMN/SYS/profile/SMN_DVEBMGS00_solman SAPSYSTEM error=14001

More information can be found in the log file F:\usr\sap\SMN\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\JSPM\log\log_2010_06_02_18_44_48\JSPM_MAIN_1_01.LOG.

Use the information provided to trouble-shoot the problem. There might be an OSS note providing a solution to this problem. Search for OSS notes with the following search terms:

com.sap.sdt.jspm.phases.PhaseTypeJSPM

com.sap.sdt.jspm.gui.JspmUiException

Cannot initialize application data.

JSPM_MAIN

JSPMPhases

Java Support Package Manager

Even when I restarted the services using MMC console, SAP and Databse services has been started and working but SAPCPE.EXE is displaying message as " Could not be started". So I feel that it has also affected my kernel on the server.

Please suggest me what can I do now.

With regards

Virender Sharma

Hi,

As already indicated this issue either may be caused by a missing or out-of-date Microsoft

runtime DLL for Kernel 7.01,

Please check note 1402510 along with the following notes:

684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs

1375494 - SAP system does not start after applying SAP kernel patch

Paul

Hello Virender-

I think you have backup of old kernel.

Please see this Note 684106 (install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1).

Thanks,

George
